Regular ranger tours

Discover the Hainich National Park with a ranger

Experience the Hainich National Park at first hand - together with our rangers. On varied guided tours, they will take you into the heart of one of the largest contiguous deciduous forests in Germany and open your eyes to the fascinating interrelationships of nature.

We offer regular guided tours for our visitors from April to October. The 90-minute guided tours are free of charge and suitable for all age groups with a simple route profile, but are not barrier-free. Just drop by!

Whether ancient beech trees, rare animal and plant species or exciting stories from everyday life in the protected area - our rangers impart their knowledge in a clear, lively and enthusiastic way. And it's not just about listening: Smelling, marveling, discovering and asking questions are expressly encouraged.

The ranger tours are aimed at adults, families and nature lovers of all ages. Each tour is an invitation to consciously experience the Hainich National Park, come to rest and discover the dynamics of a forest that has been allowed to develop freely again for years.

Come along on a guided tour and be inspired by the wild beauty of the Hainich - we look forward to seeing you!
