National Park Guide
60 people are currently involved in the Hainich National Park as volunteer national park guides through the "Ehrensache Natur - Freiwillige in Parks" program.
They are trained as nature and landscape guides and are certified by the Hainich National Park. They support the full-time staff in guiding groups of visitors and in some cases also offer guided tours on specific topics. You will find a wide range of offers in the MITMACHEN program .

Regular ranger hikes
From April to October, the national park offers guided ranger hikes on the Thiemsburg nature trail on Wednesdays and Saturdays. These events are suitable for all age groups, but are not barrier-free. The meeting point is the landscape relief in front of the National Park Center. These hikes start at 1.30 p.m. and last around 90 minutes.
