Scope

This privacy policy provides users with information about the nature, scope, and purpose of the collection and use of their data by the responsible provider.

The legal framework for data protection is provided by the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).

Collection of General Information

Every time you access this website, we or the web hosting provider automatically collect information. This information, also known as server log files, is of a general nature and does not allow for any conclusions to be drawn about your identity.

The information collected includes: website name, file, date, data volume, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your Internet service provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which you accessed our website), and the IP address.

Without this data, it would in some cases be technically impossible to deliver and display the website’s content. In this respect, the collection of data is absolutely necessary. In addition, we use the anonymous information for statistical purposes. It helps us optimize our website and technology. We also reserve the right to review the log files retrospectively if we suspect unlawful use of our website.

Handling of Personal Data

Definition: Personal data refers to all information that can be used to uniquely identify a person. It is therefore data that can be traced back to a specific individual.

This personal data includes the first name and last name, the phone number, and the email address. Information regarding hobbies, memberships, and preferences, as well as websites that have been visited, is also considered personal data.

This data is collected, used, and, if necessary, shared by the provider only to the extent expressly permitted by law or if the user consents to the collection, processing, use, and sharing of the data.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data you provide exclusively for this purpose or to inform you about matters relevant to this service or your registration. We do not share this data with third parties.

A valid email address is required to receive the newsletter. We also store the IP address you use to sign up for the newsletter and the date you subscribe. This data serves as evidence in cases of misuse, such as when a third-party email address is used to sign up for the newsletter. To further ensure that an email address is not improperly added to our mailing list by third parties, we use the so-called “double opt-in” procedure in compliance with the law. As part of this procedure, the subscription to the newsletter, the sending of the confirmation email, and the receipt of the subscription confirmation are logged.

You have the option at any time to revoke your consent to the storage of your data, your email address, and its use for sending the newsletter. To revoke your consent, we provide a link in every newsletter and on the website. You also have the option to notify us of your wish to revoke your consent via the contact options listed in this document.

Contact Form

If you contact us via the online form or by email, we will store the information you provide in order to respond to your inquiry and ask any follow-up questions.

Integration of Third-Party Services and Content

Our website may include content, services, and features from other providers. These include, for example, maps provided by OpenStreetMap, as well as videos from YouTube and Vimeo. To enable this data to be accessed and displayed in the user’s browser, the transmission of the IP address is strictly necessary. The providers (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) therefore receive the IP address of the respective user.

Although we strive to use only third-party providers who require the IP address solely to deliver content, we have no control over whether the IP address may be stored. In such cases, this process serves, among other things, statistical purposes. If we are aware that the IP address is being stored, we will inform our users of this.

Cookies

This website uses so-called cookies. These are text files stored on your computer by the server. They contain information about the browser, IP address, operating system, and internet connection. We do not share this data with third parties or link it to personal data without your consent.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the U.S. and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymization on these websites, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly. However, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: Browser add-on to disable Google Analytics.

Data Minimization

In accordance with the principles of data avoidance and data minimization, we store personal data only for as long as necessary or as required by law (statutory retention period). If the purpose of the collected information no longer applies or the retention period expires, we block or delete the data.

Your Rights to Access, Correction, Blocking, Deletion, and Objection

You have the right to request, free of charge, information about the personal data we have stored and/or to request a correction, blocking, or deletion. Exceptions: This applies to data storage required for business transactions or data subject to a statutory retention obligation.

For these purposes, please contact our Data Protection Officer (contact details: at the end of the Privacy Policy).

In order to be able to accommodate a data block at any time, it is necessary to retain the data in a block file for verification purposes. If there is no legal archiving obligation, you may also request the deletion of the data. Otherwise, we will block the data if you so desire.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

To ensure that our Privacy Policy always complies with current legal requirements, we reserve the right to make changes at any time. This also applies in the event that the Privacy Policy must be adapted due to new or revised offerings, such as new services. The new Privacy Policy will then take effect on your next visit to our website.
