Craulaer Kreuz Walking Path

Craulaer Kreuz Walking Path

Along this path you can discover the differences between a deciduous Plenter forest and spruce woodland.

You can recognise a Plenter forest by the coexistence of mighty trees of different ages. Compared to this type of forest, the spruce woodland is quite dull. Make a detour to the "Tännchen" (little fir) to see the highest spruce in Hainich, currently reaching a height of 43 m.
